Stylish Sun Protection

3 WARDROBE STAPLES THAT YOUR SKIN WILL THANK YOU FOR...

Labor Day weekend might mean that summer is almost over, but that does not mean that the sun has left! Although the sun might not feel as intense, you still need to protect your skin.  When I was riding in Arizona, I learned to integrate a few wardrobe "must haves" to avoid sun damage:

1) Hats: Straw or raffia is a good choice in the warmer months.

2) Neck Scarves:  Choose earth tone colors in the fall.

3) Sunglasses:  I prefer performance specific glasses that fit well with a helmet and look good with with street wear. This ensures that I still have them on when I get in my car to leave the barn.

*As a side note, boyfriend jeans in a lightweight denim are a great transition pant because they are not too heavy and they look great with Katharnie Page Sandals, Converse or ballet flats. I even wear them with paddock boots around the stable!
